Pastor Alex Portillo

Alex Portillo graduated from Burman University with an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies, with a minor in Biblical Languages, and earned a Master of Divinity from Andrews University. Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral degree in leadership at George Fox University. He is the author of a forthcoming book with Zondervan (Spring 2027).

His interests include reading widely, biblical exegesis, contemplative spirituality, and digital content creation. As a husband and father, he lives in Vancouver, WA, with his wife Chelsea, their sons Ismael and Mateo, and their dog Nimbus.

Elder Joe House

Elder Joe House serves as Head Elder and has been a faithful member of the church community for over 20 years. Through his leadership, encouragement, and discipleship, he has continually sought to help people grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.

Joe’s passion is introducing people to a love so deep and transformative that they spend the rest of their lives pursuing its source. He is known for his steady faith, welcoming spirit, and heart for people, and he desires to see others discover the hope, purpose, and peace found in Christ.

Joe is married to Pam House, and together they have two wonderful grown sons, Adam and Kevin.

Shelly Hillman

Shelly Hillman serves as the church’s Office Manager, helping support the life of the church through administration, planning, and clerical responsibilities. Her work helps keep the church organized, connected, and moving forward.

Shelly’s passion is creating a space where everyone feels loved, welcomed, and safe. She brings a heart for hospitality and care to her role, helping make room for people to belong and participate in the church community.

Shelly is married to Greg Hillman, who also serves as an elder. They have a son, Dr. Tyler Hillman, who lives in Loma Linda and is currently working on his second doctorate.

Londa Edwards Rau

Londa Rau serves as the church Treasurer, pianist, and Worship Coordinator. Through both leadership and worship, she helps support the spiritual and practical life of the church community.

Londa is passionate about innovation in the church and creating safe spaces where people can experience the love of God. She brings creativity, care, and a heart for worship to her ministry, helping cultivate environments where people feel welcomed, valued, and drawn closer to Jesus.

Londa is married to Jon Rau, who is also a musician and is easily recognized around the church as the guy who plays the saw with a violin bow.
