11:00 am Worship Service

Sabbath is one of the primary ways we gather as a church to worship together. Everyone is welcome.

Slavic in-ear translation is provided. Just ask our greeters.

What to Expect

Our Sabbath gathering follows a fairly consistent rhythm each week. A typical service includes an opening hymn from the SDA hymnal, welcome, song service, children’s story, Scripture reading, sermon, closing hymn from the SDA hymnal, and benediction. Services usually last around 75–90 minutes. Dress ranges from casual to formal, so come as you are.

Quarterly Foot Washing & Communion Service

Quarterly Communion & Footwashing is one of the sacred rhythms of our church life together. Please check the events tab for service dates.

What to Expect

Communion Sabbath follows a slightly different rhythm than our regular weekly service. In the events tab, you will find a full what to expect description.

We begin with a short homily, break for foot washing, and then return to share communion together. Foot washing rooms are available throughout the building, including an accessible option near the front right of the sanctuary. If you are new or unsure what to do, one of our deacons will be happy to help.

You are welcome to participate in communion even if you choose not to take part in foot washing.

Potluck

We have a potluck every second Sabbath downstairs in the fellowship hall. You do not need to bring a dish to participate, though you are always welcome to contribute if you would like. Be sure to check the church calendar for Sabbaths when potlucks may be canceled or adjusted due to special events.

Kids & Family Info

Activity Bags for kids

Families with young children are welcome to ask Reception for one of our Kids Activity Bags to help keep little hands busy during the service. Each bag includes simple activities and quiet entertainment designed for children to enjoy while participating in worship with their families. We simply ask that all bags and materials be returned to Reception after the service so they can be prepared for the following week.

Parents Room

Our Parents Room is designated for parents, guardians, and caregivers who need a place to care for young children during the service.

Baby Change Tables

There is a change table in the parents’ room stocked with diapers and any other toiletries you might need (let us know if it is empty). The women’s restroom upstairs is the only restroom with a change table; the rest do not. We are working to make it easier for dads, but at the moment, it is not available in the men’s room.

FAQ
What should I wear?

Dress comfortably. Come as you are, we are glad you are here.

How long will the service be?

We try to limit the service to 75-90 minutes.

What will the service be like?

We are not a contemporary church… but we are not old-fashioned either. We are a community slowly learning how to incorporate all generations together. Some days we have more hymns, other days more contemporary. Some days things don’t go as planned, other days they do. But we try to do our best to create an environment where you can feel safe and encounter God.

What if my kids get noisy?

It is our conviction that a noisy sanctuary is a living sanctuary. Your kids don’t bother us.

Is there a mother’s room?

Yes, however, we prefer to call it a “parents’ room.” The room is designated for both fathers and mothers to care for their kids. If you are a breastfeeding mother and you would like more privacy, please speak to one of our greeters, and they will open a room for you.

Is there a young adult or collegiate group?

I am gonna keep it real with you, there is not. But it all begins with a few people deciding to stay! If you want to start something, click here.

Will I be asked to introduce myself or stand up?

Yes!!!… just kidding. No, absolutely not.

Are service animals welcome?

If you have a service animal, please show identification to our greeters, and we ask that you sit in the back pew with your animal to avoid distractions.

Is the building ADA accessible?

Yes. Our main entrance is accessible, and there is an ADA-accessible restroom located in the lobby. However, the rest of the building is not.

Where are the restrooms?

As soon as you walk in, walk straight, and you will see the women’s restroom to the front and the men’s to the right. If you go down the stairs, the second door on the right is the men’s room, and the third door to the right is the women’s.
